This travel nursing position offers valuable experience by floating throughout multiple units—ranging from General Med-Surg/Telemetry to specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Orthopedics, Oncology, Renal, Bariatrics, Trauma, and Emergency Observation. This breadth of exposure not only enhances your clinical acumen, but also broadens your understanding of diverse workplace practices and dynamic leadership styles across several facilities in the region. You'll be empowered to build an impressive resume, preparing you for rapid career advancement.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts: 7-7, rotating days/nights
- Flexible scheduling based on departmental needs; 6-week schedules
- 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week block
- Rare call/standby; holiday rotation as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
- Preferred: Prior neuro experience, Alaris pump proficiency, Epic EMR familiarity
- Capable of titrating Heparin drips
- Experience with adult/geriatric populations and a variety of post-surgical, medical, and specialty cases
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to diverse patient populations
- Float across multiple units based on patient census and hospital needs
- Read telemetry strips (monitor tech support available)
- Work collaboratively with dedicated charge nurses (non-assigned or with limited assignment)
- Adapt to new protocols and contribute to strong patient outcomes
