Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and support the efficient movement of products and materials.
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for coordinating shipping, receiving, inventory, and distribution activities while providing day-to-day leadership to warehouse associates. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and experience improving warehouse processes in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, materials handling, and order fulfillment.
- Coordinate distribution activities and workflow to maximize productivity, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, train, and support warehouse associates while providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with implementing process improvements to reduce errors and streamline warehouse procedures.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS400 systems to track inventory, manage orders, and support warehouse operations.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Promote a strong culture of workplace safety and ensure team members follow proper operating procedures.
- Oversee forklift and materials-handling activities and ensure equipment is operated safely and maintained appropriately.
- Assist with problem-solving related to workflow, inventory discrepancies, shipping and receiving, and daily operational challenges.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous warehouse leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, distribution, shipping, and receiving.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); AS400 experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, motivate, and develop warehouse employees.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of forklifts and other materials-handling equipment.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices.
- Experience with process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Experience in e-commerce fulfillment, third-party logistics (3PL), or similar distribution environments is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including lifting and handling materials as required.
