Role
We’re looking for a client-focused, small-business-friendly tax professional to join our team! This is not just a numbers job—it’s a people job. You’ll be a trusted advisor, helping entrepreneurs navigate their tax obligations with clarity and confidence. We are seeking applicants who can:
- Communicate frequently with their clients via phone and email to provide expert tax guidance
- Simplify complex tax concepts, ensuring small business owners feel informed and empowered
- Collaborate with an energetic, mission-driven team that values innovation and excellence
- Review completed tax returns and communicate findings with the client
- Stay up-to-date with tax regulations to provide the best possible advice to our clients
Who You Are
You’re not just an expert in tax—you’re a trusted advocate for small business owners. You love seeing businesses grow and thrive, and you believe in providing top-tier service that makes a lasting impact.
You are someone who:
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for making tax concepts accessible
- Is tech-savvy and comfortable with accounting and tax prep software
- Thrives in a collaborative, team-first environment and brings a positive attitude to work every day
- Is client-oriented, eager to learn, and open to feedback
- Strongly Preferred - Has direct experience with CCH Axcess or ProSystems fx Tax
What You Bring
Required Experience & Skills
- At least 3+ years of public tax accounting experience
- Ability and willingness to professionally communicate directly with clients.
- Familiarity with professional tax preparation software (i.e. CCH Axcess or ProSystems fx tax)
- Ability to estimate tax liabilities using up-to-date financial statements
- Ability to prepare and advise on 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120 tax returns
- Ability to explain tax and accounting concepts in layman's terms
- Ability to help clients understand how payroll and payroll taxes work
- Experience with day traders a plus

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
