WHAT YOU'LL DO
No two days are exactly the same. You'll help maintain and improve multiple First Step House facilities by:
- Performing preventative maintenance and general building repairs
- Troubleshooting plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance, and facility issues
- Installing and maintaining air conditioning units and appliances
- Repairing locks, doors, cabinets, and other building fixtures
- Maintaining attractive and safe grounds through mowing, trimming, edging, and seasonal upkeep
- Identifying larger repair needs and coordinating with specialized contractors when appropriate
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Helping ensure our facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming for clients, staff, and visitors

WHAT YOU BRING
Required
- Valid Utah Driver's License and insurability
- Experience in one or more building trades or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience
- Working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, and general building maintenance
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
Preferred
- Experience working in behavioral health, healthcare, housing, or nonprofit settings
