FreeBird Recruiting is hiring a Travel Security Systems Technician on behalf of a growing security and low-voltage company.
Based in Utah with regional and out-of-state travel.
This is not a service-call position. You'll work on commercial construction projects, building upgrades, multi-site deployments, and large-scale security installations. You'll travel to different job sites, work alongside contractors and project teams, and take ownership of projects from installation through customer handoff.

What You'll Do
- Install and commission commercial access control systems
- Install IP camera and video surveillance systems
- Pull, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 low-voltage cabling
- Configure network-connected security devices
- Read plans and execute project scopes with minimal supervision
- Lead technicians on larger project deployments when needed
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and customers
- Train customers on completed systems
- Travel to project sites throughout the region and beyond
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience installing commercial security systems, access control systems, surveillance cameras, or low-voltage cabling
- Experience with structured cabling and low-voltage installation
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Leadership experience is a plus
- Comfortable with extended travel and multi-week project deployments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
