Kelly® is hiring a Shipping Associate for a direct-hire opportunity at a brand-new manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with domestic and international shipping experience who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you’ll manage outbound shipments from start to finish, including product inspection, packing, documentation, inventory coordination, carrier scheduling, and delivery follow-up. You’ll play an important part in helping the new operation establish accurate, efficient, and reliable shipping processes.

Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 8:00 AM
Pay: $21.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience
Work Environment: Fully onsite

What You’ll Be Doing

Manage all aspects of outbound domestic and international shipments.
Inspect products and orders before shipment to verify accuracy, quantity, condition, and documentation.
Select appropriate packaging materials and securely pack products for transportation.
Prepare accurate shipping labels, packing slips, carrier documents, and international shipping paperwork.
Process shipments through FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other carrier systems.
Coordinate carrier pickups, transportation services, and delivery schedules.
Track shipments and communicate delays, delivery concerns, or documentation issues.
Maintain adequate inventories of boxes, labels, packing materials, and other shipping supplies.
Monitor packaging-material usage and replenish supplies before shortages affect operations.
Support the packaging and transportation of materials for trade shows, demonstrations, and company events.
Coordinate with inventory, production, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure orders ship accurately and on time.
Maintain organized shipping records and accurately enter shipment information into company systems.
Keep shipping, packing, and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.
Assist with receiving and inventory-related responsibilities when operational needs require it.
Perform other shipping and logistics duties as assigned.

This Position May Be a Great Fit If You

Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have at least one year of experience using FedEx, UPS, DHL, or similar carrier systems.
Have previous shipping experience, preferably within a manufacturing, electronics, distribution, or technical environment.
Have experience preparing commercial shipments for international destinations.
Understand the importance of accurate shipping paperwork and customs-related documentation.
Are proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
Are comfortable using Google Workspace applications.
Can manage competing priorities and meet multiple shipping deadlines.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bring excellent attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, flexibility, and teamwork.
Are willing to learn new systems and take on evolving responsibilities as the operation grows.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting both domestic and international shipments.
Experience preparing commercial invoices, packing lists, and other export documentation.
Previous shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with inventory-control, ERP, WMS, or order-processing systems.
Experience coordinating freight carriers and monitoring shipment status.
Knowledge of shipping-area safety procedures and proper packaging practices.
Experience handling sensitive, high-value, or electronic products.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend and reach when placing materials on lower or upper shelves.
Ability to kneel or squat to access lower storage locations.
Ability to stand, walk, pack, and move materials throughout the workday.
Ability to work in an onsite office, warehouse, and shipping environment.

Additional Requirements

Due to work performed under U.S. federal contracts, candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person, meaning a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check and drug screening.
