Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman
Seeking a dependable, hands-on facilities maintenance professional who is a true jack-of-all-trades. This role performs a wide variety of building, grounds, and facility maintenance duties while helping maintain a safe, clean, and efficient operation. This position will join a Facilities Maintenance team of approximately 10 other professionals. Tools provided by the company.
Monday through Friday, days. Opportunity for some OT if desired.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the facility and property.
- Repair and maintain offices, buildings, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and flooring.
- Build, repair, and maintain fences, gates, handrails, and other structures.
- Maintain pumps, plumbing fixtures, piping, valves, and other mechanical building systems.
- Complete carpentry, drywall, painting, concrete, and general repair work.
- Install shelving, cabinets, signs, fixtures, and miscellaneous facility improvements.
- Operate common hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment, including a forklift.
- Complete preventative maintenance and respond to maintenance requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with facility improvement projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of facilities maintenance, handyman, or building maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with carpentry, plumbing, drywall, painting, concrete, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors.
