Job DescriptionElectronics Technician I

Kelly® is hiring entry-level Electronics Technician's for an exciting opportunity at a brand-new manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, electronics, computers, and detailed assembly—and wants to grow their skills in a clean, high-tech production environment.

You’ll help manufacture, test, and inspect advanced electronic communication products while working closely with production leadership and engineering. Prior electronics manufacturing experience is helpful, but this role is also open to motivated entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.

DIRECT HIRE

Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM–12:30 PM
Work Environment: Fully onsite, indoor, air-conditioned facility

Pay:

  • $18.75 per hour with a high school diploma or GED

  • $20.75 per hour with a bachelor’s degree

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Test sensitive electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards.

  • Complete final assembly and inspection of finished electronic products.

  • Perform system testing and production quality-control testing.

  • Use tweezers, screwdrivers, bolt drivers, torque wrenches, and other small hand tools.

  • Follow detailed work instructions, testing procedures, and quality requirements.

  • Enter testing statistics and production information into computer systems.

  • Prepare daily reports and provide feedback to the production team.

  • Identify product or process concerns and communicate them to leadership or engineering.

  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workstation.

  • Support continuous-improvement efforts involving product quality, efficiency, and workflow.

  • Perform other related production and testing duties as assigned.

This Position May Be a Great Fit If You

  • Have a high school diploma or GED.

  • Enjoy careful, hands-on technical work.

  • Have strong manual dexterity and are comfortable working with small components.

  • Can confidently use basic hand tools, including tweezers and torque-controlled tools.

  • Are comfortable using computers and learning new software.

  • Have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Can manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

  • Communicate effectively and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

  • Can lift up to 25 pounds and walk or move throughout laboratory and production areas.

  • Are comfortable working Monday–Friday from 4:00 AM–12:30 PM.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous electronics assembly, manufacturing, testing, or quality-control experience.

  • Experience working with printed circuit boards or sensitive electronic components.

  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems.

Additional Requirements

Due to work performed under U.S. federal contracts, candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person, meaning a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check and drug screening.
