Host (Part-Time) – The Roof Restaurant | $17–$18/hr

Located on the 10th floor of the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square, The Roof Restaurant offers unforgettable dining and event experiences in one of the most beautiful venues in Utah.
We’re looking for Hosts who are passionate professionals and take pride in their craft, contributing to a team known for excellence.
Part-time | 10–20 hours/week | 2–3 shifts

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Greet and welcome guests, creating a positive first impression for the dining experience
• Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant seating system
• Escort guests to tables and communicate seating details to service staff
• Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans to maintain efficient service
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Previous hosting or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with a guest-first mindset, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Consistent reliability and punctuality
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards
JOB ENVIRONMENT/OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies
• Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management
COMPENSATION:
$17.00 - $18.00/hour. This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
