Job Description

Sourcing Manager – 6-Month Contract

\n

Compensation: $55 - $65 / hour

\n

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite)

\n

Type: Temporary 6-month Assignment

\n

\n

\n

About the Role

\n

We're looking for a strategic Sourcing Manager to take ownership of vendor performance, contract negotiations, and category strategy across a portfolio of spend areas. This is a 6-month temporary position with the possibility of extending. This person will be the primary link between procurement, business stakeholders, and suppliers, driving savings, reducing risk, and building supplier relationships that hold up under pressure.

\n

\n

What You’ll Do

\n

    \n
  • Manage multiple indirect spend categories, including:
  • \n

  • IT (software, hardware, engineering/professional services)
  • \n

  • Travel (TMCs, airlines, hotels, car rental programs)
  • \n

  • Property leases/purchase/sell (commercial negotiations and agreements)
  • \n

  • Corporate services (professional services, consulting, general indirect spend)
  • \n

  • Lead sourcing events (RFPs, negotiations, supplier selection) while keeping stakeholders looped in throughout
  • \n

  • Handle contracts end-to-end: drafting, negotiating, approvals, execution, and ongoing management inside SAP, including setup and upkeep of outline agreements
  • \n

  • Track emerging trends and procurement best practices, feeding relevant ones back into internal processes
  • \n

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders (procurement, legal, finance, business teams) and suppliers
  • \n

  • Own vendor relationships and safety/performance tracking for assigned categories
  • \n

  • Build, refine, and roll out sourcing strategies at both a regional and global level, adapting them as supplier markets shift
  • \n

  • Cultivate cross-functional relationships (legal, finance, business units) to stay ahead of upcoming needs and pain points
  • \n

  • Maintain internal controls and governance practices that keep the business compliant and operationally resilient
  • \n

\n

\n

What You Bring

\n

    \n
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • \n

  • Graduate degree or specialized certification in procurement or finance is a plus
  • \n

  • 5+ years in strategic sourcing, supplier/contract management, or procurement-focused project management inside a large, matrixed organization
  • \n

  • Hands-on SAP experience, particularly with outline agreements
  • \n

  • A track record of building and executing category strategies from the ground up
  • \n

  • Comfort leading capital-project sourcing and negotiating large, complex deals
  • \n

  • Experience managing cross-border or multi-site teams
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of contract law sufficient to flag compliance issues early
  • \n

  • Strong instincts for supplier relationship management and performance improvement
  • \n

  • Solid grasp of the supply markets relevant to your categories
  • \n

  • Familiarity with international logistics, air/ocean freight and Incoterms
  • \n

  • A collaborative, upbeat approach to working with others
  • \n
