Class B Driver with Hazmat & Tanker

Position: Operate all types of WESCO trucks and specialty equipment to prepare and deliver any company explosive products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Operate auxiliary equipment and assist equipment operators and blasters in the maintenance of all equipment and the loading, mixing, unloading, and preparation of explosive products for the customer in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Experience: Class A or B driving experience. Will train on all other aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Able to pass all background checks.
- Must satisfy the requirements for a “possessor of explosives” as defined by the B.A.T.F.
- Supply own transportation.
- Technical Requirements:
- CDL required for commercial drivers (WESCO will help get HAZMAT).
- Able to drive a standard transmission.
- Acquire and maintain all appropriate licenses and certifications required by federal, state and county entities.
Essential Functions:
- Drive/operate semi box trailer over public roads to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites in a safe and timely manner.
- Drive and operate bulk/blend truck to prepare and deliver quality ANFO products to customer sites.
- Load and unload all trucks.
- Operate auxiliary equipment in support of equipment operators, including Bobcat forklifts, winches, and hand tools in order to provide timely, safe, and quality service and product to the customer.
- Read gauges and make adjustments to equipment to maintain proper performance in order to assure quality and accurate product delivery.
- Assist Equipment Operators and Blasters at blast site in order to safely serve the customer.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions, while driving and operating equipment and while on blast sites to protect personal safety and safety of others.
- Prepare and maintain all records and reports concerning the handling and transportation of explosive products including safety, and the use and detonation of explosives, to assure accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and performance history.
- Practice behavior consistent with company policies and procedures from applicable technical modules, SOPs, worksite, and safety policies and procedures.
- Knowledgeable of, and comply with applicable DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA and BATF.
Working Environment: Must be able to work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions of temperature and climate.
Physically travel between offices and remote field locations. Early morning start times. Must wear personal protective
equipment where required. May require lifting of up to 60 lbs.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Pay: $21.00 – 26.00, Depending on experience
