Position Responsibilities
- Expert Finishing:Smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete floors, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and other flatwork.
- Precision Tooling:Masterfully use hand and power tools including trowels, floats, screeds, and edgers to achieve specified textures and finishes.
- Specialized Techniques:Apply finishing techniques such as broom finishes or stamped patterns as required by project plans.
- Site Preparation:Prepare work areas by cleaning and setting forms or molds; collaborate with the team on proper mixing and pouring.
- Quality Control:Inspect finished work to ensure it meets exact measurements and safety standards; patch and repair damaged surfaces as needed.
- Safety & Efficiency:Adhere to all safety protocols (PPE) and communicate effectively with the crew to meet tight project timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience:At least 12 years of proven experience as a Concrete Finisher.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in concrete mixing, pouring, curing, and finishing techniques; ability to read blueprints and plans.
- Physical Stamina:Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive tasks (standing, bending, lifting) in various weather conditions.
- Reliability:Must have reliable transportation and a strong commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Compliance:Must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing (Drug-Free Workplace).
