At First Step House, our Food Services team plays an important role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey by providing nutritious, high-quality meals in a welcoming environment.
Starting Pay: $20.81 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Food Services Cook, you'll help prepare and serve nutritious meals for clients across our programs while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus
- Completing daily food preparation and kitchen setup
- Cooking banquet- or family-style meals (no individual restaurant orders)
- Following proper food handling, sanitation, and Health Department guidelines
- Opening and closing the kitchen each day
- Washing dishes and maintaining a clean work environment
- Receiving, organizing, and storing food deliveries
- Transporting food to nearby First Step House locations as needed
- Assisting with inventory and maintaining an organized kitchen

QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain upon hire) (Required)
- Valid driver's license (Required)
- One year of cooking or food service experience (Preferred)
- Experience preparing meals for large groups or institutional settings (Preferred)
