Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

Hours: 40 per week

Job Description

This full-time Clinical Research Coordinator role based in Salt Lake City, UT focuses on supporting a Pneumococcal Disease clinical trial. You will play a key role in driving study enrollment, engaging directly with participants, and collaborating closely with research staff to ensure high-quality data collection and protocol adherence. The position is ideal for an experienced coordinator who brings strong clinical research experience, excellent organizational skills, and confidence in working with patients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed chart reviews using electronic medical records (EMR) to evaluate potential participants against study eligibility criteria.
• Pre-screen potential participants to determine initial suitability for the Pneumococcal Disease clinical trial.
• Educate participants about the clinical trial, including study purpose, procedures, potential risks and benefits, and participation requirements.
• Conduct follow-up communications with participants to support retention, address questions, and reinforce protocol compliance.
• Schedule in-person visits and follow-up appointments for participants, ensuring alignment with study timelines and protocol requirements.
• Send reminders and visit information to participants to support attendance and ongoing engagement in the study.
• Collaborate with research staff to support recruitment strategies and ensure accurate documentation of pre-screening, enrollment, and follow-up activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR and study systems to support data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience working as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
• At least 2 years of experience in patient recruitment for clinical research studies.
• At least 2 years of experience using electronic medical records (EMR) in a clinical or research setting.
• Training in Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) regulations.
• Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple participants, visits, and study timelines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with participants and research staff.
• High attention to detail to ensure accurate chart review, documentation, and protocol adherence.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in chart review and pre-screening processes for clinical research.
• Experience coordinating patient recruitment campaigns for clinical trials.
• Ability to explain complex clinical trial concepts in a clear and patient-friendly manner.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced research environment with evolving priorities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. The Clinical Research Coordinator will split time between two site locations in the Salt Lake City, UT area.

This is a Contract position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
