As a growing company, we are looking Millwright Mechanic to work with our Operations Shift in our Salt Lake City, Utah location. This position will be assigned to a process unit and will work with a team of 4-5 employees. Job Description:Experience with conveyors and conveyance systems. Ability to track belts and troubleshoot issuesMust be mechanically proficientInstall and maintain machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power toolsFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldProficient in stick and wire feed weldingInsert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary partsAlign machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, levels, lasers, and plumb bobsLevel/ establish centerline, using straightedge, levels, and transitShrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipmentDismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation site, usually performing installation and maintenance work as part of teamConstruct and/or repair machine foundations using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, grout and/ or steelReplace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts, adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical partsEnsure assigned work is understood prior to commencingComply with standards and procedures of Metro Group INC's Health and Safety program, including job safety analyses, Risk assessments, etc. Assure compliance of team membersComplete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area daily and/or when requiredComplete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specificationsA certain degree of creativity and latitude is requiredComplete required paperworkPerform other job responsibilities as assignedSignal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materialsInspect rigging to ensure safety and reliabilityAttach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power toolsSelect gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and certified load ratingsControl movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, overhead frames, and other equipmentTilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniquesAlign, level, and anchor machineryAttach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clampsDismantle and store rigging equipment after useOperating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment ' running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehiclesControlling Machines and Processes ' using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (including computers or vehicles)Working knowledge of Hydraulic systems and ability to troubleshootQualifications:HS diploma or equivalentMinimum three (3) years proven experience or comparable field preferably within the Industrial Maintenance industryValid driver's licenseBasic electrical and controls knowledge a plusBenefits:MedicalDentalVisionVoluntary Life/AD&DMedical Savings PlanFlexible Savings Account/Health Savings AccountPaid Time Off (PTO)401k w/ Metro matching up to 4% (employees eligible after 1 year of employment)7 paid holidaysEmployee recognition program
