Little Champs ABA is a growing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, individualized care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We are seeking an experienced and motivated ABA Center Director to lead our Cottonwood Heights location, overseeing both clinical excellence and day-to-day center operations.

Job Summary

The ABA Center Director is responsible for the overall leadership, clinical oversight, and operational management of our ABA center. This role blends hands-on clinical supervision with business management — ensuring clients receive excellent, evidence-based care while the center runs efficiently, ethically, and in compliance with state and payer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing review of individualized treatment plans

  • Supervise and mentor BCBAs, BCaBAs, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and other clinical staff

  • Conduct case reviews, treatment plan audits, and clinical quality checks

  • Ensure all services align with BACB Ethics Code and current ABA best practices

  • Lead team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing staff training

Operations & Staff Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the center, including scheduling and caseload assignments

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new clinical and administrative staff

  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and support professional development

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture

  • Monitor staff retention and address performance or staffing concerns proactively

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with Utah state licensing requirements, HIPAA, and insurance regulations

  • Oversee accurate clinical documentation and data collection (e.g., Central Reach)

  • Manage authorizations, billing accuracy, and coordination with insurance providers

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for clients, families, and staff

Business & Community Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources (pediatricians, schools, insurance companies)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parent/caregiver concerns and communication

  • Represent the center in community outreach and local marketing efforts

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field

  • Active BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) certification

  • Eligible for or currently hold Utah behavior analyst licensure

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience providing direct ABA therapy services

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or clinical director role

  • Strong working knowledge of ABA principles, treatment planning, and program development

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Experience with ABA data collection/practice management software (e.g., Central Reach),

  • Familiarity with insurance authorization and billing processes for ABA services

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a background check

Preferred:

  • Prior experience managing or directing a multi-staff ABA center

  • Experience with center growth, hiring, and team-building

  • Knowledge of Utah-specific autism service regulations and payer requirements

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Paid time off (PTO)

  • 401(k) with employer match

  • Continuing education (CEU) reimbursement and BCBA certification renewal support

  • Professional development and leadership growth opportunities
