Job DescriptionDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We're hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a full-time contract opportunity with a long term care pharmacy in Salt Lake City. This is a great opportunity for retail pharmacists looking to expand into the LTC setting, with training provided and a consistent weekly schedule.
Position Details
- 12 week contract
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Wednesday-Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Saturday & Sunday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately
- Review medication profiles for safety, appropriateness, and compliance
- Counsel patients on prescription and over the counter medications
- Monitor for drug interactions, adverse effects, and medication-related concerns
- Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation
- Prepare and compound medications, including sterile preparations as needed
- Assist with inventory management and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Requirements
- Active Utah Pharmacist License in hand
- Retail or long term care pharmacy experience
- Ability to work the scheduled shifts, including weekends
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a long term care pharmacy setting
