TheAssistantProjectManagerisresponsibleforassistingtheProjectManagerinmanagingmultiplecapitalprojectstosuccessfuloutcomes.Thiseffortextendsacrossthelifespanofaproject,includingplanning,design,construction,andtransitiontooperations.


Responsibilities


ClientRelations

  • Establishapositiveandcloseworkingassociationwithcolleagues,buildingmutualrespect,trustofjudgement.
  • Demonstrateinnovativeadaptabilitytosupportteamobjectives.


Leadership

  • Applylogicandtechnicalknowledgetowardsoundjudgementanddecisions.

CommunicationandPresentation

  • Analyzebudgets,timelines,andplanningforimpacttoestablishedprojectmetrics.


ScheduleManagement

  • Maintainprojectschedules.
  • Participateinprojectactivitytrackingandmanagingcoursecorrections.
  • Supportcommunicationofscheduletoclientsandusers.
  • Supportprojectclose-out,start-upandtraininginaccordancewithfacilitymanagementbestpracticestandardsandtechnicalrequirements.

CoreResponsibilities

  • Ensureallsafetyprotocols/regulationsarebeingfollowedforconstructionprojects.
  • TroubleshootandelevatecomplexissuesthatariseinanurgentyetresponsiblemannertotheProjectManager.
  • Understandcontractsforallparties(consultants,generalcontractors,vendors,suppliers,etc.),communicateeffectivelytoteammembers,ensureteammembersarecommunicatingeffectivelywitheachother,resolveconflicts,developtrustworthyrelationshipswithclients,solveproblems,andbeabletoconceptuallyprovide/analyzetotalprojectbudgetsandschedules(design,permitting,regulatoryapprovals,construction,equipment,furniture,etc.).
  • Followtheprojectmanagementprocessfromthebeginning.Everyprojectmustfollowastandardandorganizedpathfromtheprojectinitiationtoprojectcompletion.Beabletoidentifyopportunitiestoexpeditetheprocesswithoutcompromisingthegoalorfinalproduct.
  • Employadiversesetofskillsandassistinresolvingproject,client,andpeoplemanagementissues.
  • Playanintegralroleinestablishingcollaborativeandproductiverelationshipswithprojectteams,includingarchitects,engineers,consultants,commissioningagents,contractors,andbusinesspartners.


Qualifications

  • EntrylevelProjectManagementexperience;2+yearsexperience
  • BachelorsdegreeinConstructionManagement,CivilEngineering,ArchitecturalEngineering,orrelatedfield
