Powder Coater Tasks & Duties
-
Prepare sheet metal surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, or applying pre-treatment solutions.

Operate powder coating spray equipment to apply coatings evenly on sheet metal products.

Adjust and monitor coating thickness, color consistency, and finish quality according to specifications.

Inspect coated parts for defects such as runs, sags, or uneven coverage, making corrections as needed.

Maintain coating equipment, spray guns, and curing ovens in good working condition.

Follow safety guidelines and wear proper PPE while handling coating materials and equipment.
Powder Coater Shift Info

Day Shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Monday - Friday
Powder Coater Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)
-
Powder Coater experience required
-
Able to work in the US
-
Able to pass a background check
-
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
-
Previous experience as a powder coater, industrial painter, or in a sheet metal fabrication environment is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of powder coating techniques, equipment operation, and curing processes.

Ability to read and understand work orders, blueprints, and specifications.

Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with safety practices in a manufacturing or coating environment.
