The Concrete Footings & Foundations Crew Leader oversees a medium-sized crew of 6-10 workers focused primarily on residential concrete construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship, enforcing safety standards, managing materials, and coordinating daily site activities. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Crew Leader plays a critical role in maintaining project schedules and facilitating clear communication among team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a crew of 6-10 concrete workers to execute footings and foundation tasks effectively
- Ensure quality control by inspecting work to meet project specifications and standards
- Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment
- Manage materials and equipment to optimize site efficiency
- Interpret and apply blueprints for accurate project execution
- Report progress regularly to the Project Manager
- Coordinate team efforts to meet project deadlines
- Conduct site inspections and address any issues promptly
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in concrete construction
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in concrete finishing and blueprint reading
- Demonstrated leadership in managing construction crews
- Strong commitment to safety compliance
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management abilities
