Direct Counsel is representing an Amlaw 100 firm in the search for a Patent Agent or Associate to join its Intellectual Property Practice Group in Salt Lake City. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IP professional to work with a dynamic, world-class team on cutting-edge intellectual property matters for clients across a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications across diverse technologies.

• Collaborate on inter-office teams to provide litigation support and develop strategic IP portfolio guidance.

• Manage complex patent dockets efficiently and proactively.

• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients and internal teams regarding tasks, deadlines, and strategic considerations.

• Contribute as a team player on high-profile and innovative intellectual property projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.

• Proven ability to manage a complex patent docket effectively.

• Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proactive and organized, with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong interest in intellectual property law and emerging technologies.
