Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring CRRT, Swan-Ganz, and mechanical circulatory support experience.

Details\n

    \n
  • Work in the CVICU/Surgical ICU of a hospital environment
  • \n

  • Care for post cardiac surgery patients (not directly from OR) with complex cardiovascular needs
  • \n

  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) or rotating day/night shifts
  • \n

  • Utilizes Epic charting system
  • \n

  • Up to 10 days RTO available per 13-week contract, with additional RTO available proportionally for longer contracts
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active RN license (Utah or Compact) required, pending license accepted but must be in hand prior to start
  • \n

  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of prior CVICU RN experience required
  • \n

  • Required experience with CRRT/CVVHD, Swan-Ganz/Pulmonary Artery Line monitoring, and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) including Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, and ECMO
  • \n

  • Epic charting experience required
  • \n

  • Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
  • \n

  • Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management
  • \n

  • Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation monitoring
  • \n

  • Experience managing dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular and post-surgical patients
  • \n

  • Perform cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
  • \n

  • Adhere to infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions/PPE
  • \n

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Previous full-time employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers under any circumstances
  • \n

  • Local candidates residing within the state of Utah are not accepted
  • \n

  • Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
  • \n
