Molding Setup Technician | Salt Lake City, UT

Nexeo Staffing is seeking an experienced Injection Mold Setup Technician to join our growing manufacturing team on 2nd Shift. This is a hands-on role for a skilled professional who takes pride in ensuring efficient machine setups, minimizing downtime, and maintaining the highest quality standards. If you have a strong background in injection mold changes, troubleshooting, process improvement, and supporting production excellence, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving operational success while working in a collaborative, safety-focused environment that values continuous improvement and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes, setups, and adjustments on injection molding equipment.
• Install and align molds to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot setup and mold-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings and mold changes.
• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Partner with production and engineering teams to improve processes.
• Assist with training team members and developing work instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• 3+ years of experience performing injection mold changes and setups.
• Knowledge of injection molding processes and equipment.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement principles such as 5S, SMED, Kaizen, and TPS.
  • Preferred:
    • Technical training in manufacturing, machining, or a related field.

Pay

$24.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
