Position: Trailer Repair Technician – Fleet Operations
Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Pay: up to $30.82
Shift:
- 2nd shift, 3pm – 11:30pm (Tuesday – Saturday)
- 3rd shift, 11pm – 7:30am (Sunday – Thursday)

Position Summary:
The Trailer Repair Technician will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on transportation trailers and converter dollies. This role focuses on non-powered equipment, including air brake and electrical systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on trailer mechanic experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment. CDL is not required.
Position Responsibilities:
· Perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on trailers and converter dollies
· Diagnose and repair air brake systems and electrical systems
· Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders and stairs, stand, walk, and pivot throughout the workday
· Lift, push, pull, and manipulate equipment weighing up to 70 lbs; assist with moving items up to 150 lbs
· Use power, pneumatic, and hand tools safely and effectively
· Operate standard/manual transmission vehicles as needed
· Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
· Meet requirements to become Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certified
· Work cooperatively in a diverse team environment
· Maintain safety awareness through effective communication and situational awareness
· Work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions as required
Position Requirements:
· U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
· Documented trailer mechanic experience
· Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and computers
· Must possess a full complement of personal hand tools
· Employer will not sponsor visas for this position
· Strong attention to safety and detail
