Clean Up the Code. Elevate the Care.
As our Integration Engineer, you will untangle, consolidate, and optimize the critical data pipelines that keep healthcare workflows moving. You are a data fixer and systems architect rolled into one. You'll spend your short-term sprint diving headfirst into our MIRTH and BridgeLink environments, cleaning up legacy HL7 feeds, and establishing a single, bulletproof stream of communication. Partnering closely with clinical administrative staff and local facility engineers, your work ensures that medical systems talk to each other without missing a beat. It's a fast-paced, high-visibility project where your technical updates make an immediate, tangible impact.
Why This Position is Different
- A Masterclass in Optimization: No long, drawn-out corporate timelines here. You come in, diagnose the HL7/MIRTH bottlenecks, clean the pipelines, and cross the finish line.
- High Visibility: Work hand-in-hand with facility infrastructure engineers and administrative leaders who eagerly await your data clean-up strategies.
- Skill Expansion: Got DICOM skills? You’ll get to put them to work alongside your core HL7 toolkit, bridging clinical text data with medical imaging workflows.
What Success Looks Like
- Surgical Cleanup: Audit, consolidate, and safely decommission redundant or lagging HL7 communication channels within your first 30 days.
- Engine Tuning: Re-configure channel scripts and mappings inside Mirth Connect/BridgeLink for maximum throughput and zero message loss.
- Collaborative Delivery: Act as the technical liaison, coordinating with non-technical administrative workflows to minimize system downtime during cutovers.
Who You Are
- The Mid/Early-Career Mover: You have a solid foundational footprint in healthcare IT (2–5 years) and are looking to show what you can build when given autonomy.
- The Engine Expert: You possess proven, hands-on experience building or maintaining message routes inside MIRTH Connect or BridgeLink.
- The Protocol Fluent: You natively understand HL7 structures, data segments, and data types, using SQL or JavaScript to manipulate data accurately.
