Every ski that leaves our facility represents precision, craftsmanship, innovation, and countless powder days waiting to happen.We're looking for a Shop Bench Operator who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in precision craftsmanship, and is passionate about delivering exceptional products. This seasonal role is responsible for mounting bindings, applying Phantom treatment, performing ski repairs, supporting fulfillment, and ensuring every ski meets DPS's world-class quality standards.If you enjoy working with your hands, solving mechanical challenges, and being part of a collaborative team that values quality and continuous improvement, we'd love to meet you.Start Date: September 1Position Type: Seasonal (September 1 – April 15)Pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hourSchedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PMWhat You'll Be DoingAs a Shop Bench Operator, you'll perform a variety of ski service, repair, and fulfillment duties to ensure every product meets DPS's exceptional quality standards.Your day may include:Mounting ski bindings accurately according to specificationsApplying Phantom permanent wax treatmentPerforming ski tuning, waxing, edge finishing, base repair, and other service workInspecting completed work to ensure it meets DPS quality standardsManaging shop work tickets and documenting completed workSupporting fulfillment by preparing, packaging, labeling, and shipping completed skisOrganizing materials, components, and finished products to support inventory accuracySafely operating hand tools, tuning equipment, power tools, and shop machineryMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environmentIdentifying equipment issues or opportunities for process improvements and communicating them to leadershipAssisting with inventory organization and warehouse activities as neededSupporting special projects and performing other duties as assignedEvery ski you service reflects the craftsmanship and reputation that DPS is known for.What Makes You a Great FitYou're someone who enjoys working with your hands and takes pride in producing high-quality work.You have strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy precision work where attention to detail matters.You're dependable, motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where quality and efficiency go hand in hand.You enjoy collaborating with others while also taking ownership of your work.You value safety, continuous improvement, and delivering an outstanding product.QualificationsMinimum of one year of hands-on ski or snowboard tuning, repair, or service shop experience required.Demonstrated proficiency in ski tuning, base repair, edge finishing, waxing, and binding mounting required.Ability to produce high-quality, race-ready ski tunes accurately and consistently.Experience completing and tracking service tickets, work orders, or production documentation preferred.Experience with inventory organization, fulfillment preparation, packaging, labeling, or shipping preferred.Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, tuning equipment, and shop machinery.Ability to inspect completed work, identify quality concerns, and follow established quality standards and specifications.Basic computer skills for accessing work orders, inventory records, and production systems.Strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Willingness to become cross-trained in other production and warehouse functions.Knowledge of ski and snowboard products, equipment, and industry trends preferred.Participation in or familiarity with snow sports preferred.You'll Also BringStrong work ethic and reliabilityPositive attitude and willingness to learnExcellent teamwork and communication skillsHigh energy, self-motivation, and flexibilityAbility to collaborate effectively across departmentsCommitment to workplace safety and quality standardsWhat to ExpectHands-on work in a fast-paced ski service and fulfillment environmentOpportunities to work with premium ski equipment and specialized tuning techniquesCollaboration with manufacturing, warehouse, and fulfillment teamsA team focused on quality, craftsmanship, and continuous improvementThe satisfaction of helping build and prepare world-class skis trusted by skiers around the globeA Few Things to KnowThis position requires:Standing for extended periods throughout the workdayFrequent repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements requiring fine motor skillsGrasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling skis and equipment throughout the dayOperating tuning equipment, hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery safelyWearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, face masks, and other protective equipment as requiredWorking in a manufacturing and service shop environment with production equipment and machineryRegular lifting and moving of materials weighing up to 20 poundsReady to Help Build Better Days on Snow?Whether you're an experienced ski technician, have worked in a ski shop, or simply enjoy working with your hands and producing exceptional work, we'd love to hear from you.Join DPS this season and help prepare the skis people dream about all summer-and chase all winter.
