Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior Solution Architect Client Location: Salt Lake City, Utah Type: Contract To Hire Work Model: Onsite Experience * 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise application development * Demonstrated progression from senior software engineer into architecture, technical leadership, or enterprise solution design roles * Experience designing enterprise-scale, cloud-native applications supporting complex business environments * Proven success leading architecture decisions across multiple concurrent initiatives * Experience collaborating with executive stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams Technical Expertise Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions utilizing technologies such as: Programming * Java * Python * Modern object-oriented programming languages Cloud Platforms * Amazon Web Services (AWS) * Microsoft Azure * Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Preferred Architecture & Design * Microservices * Event-driven architecture * Enterprise integration patterns * API-first design * Domain-Driven Design (DDD) * Distributed systems Integration Technologies * RESTful APIs * JSON * XML * API Management platforms * Enterprise messaging * Apache Kafka or comparable event-streaming technologies DevOps & Cloud Engineering * Docker * Kubernetes * Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar) * CI/CD pipelines * Git * Azure DevOps * GitHub Data Technologies * SQL * Relational databases * Data modeling and query optimization Operating Systems * Linux Shell scripting AI & Emerging Technologies * Generative AI * Agentic AI * AI-assisted software development * Intelligent automation Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: * Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent) * Cloud migration and modernization initiatives * API Management platforms (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, etc.) * Event streaming platforms (Kafka, Event Hubs, or similar) * Data integration and analytics platforms * Security architecture, identity, and access management (IAM) * DevSecOps practices * Observability and monitoring platforms (Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.) * Experience within financial services, government, healthcare, or other regulated industries * Agile, Scrum, and SAFe delivery environments * Technical leadership across geographically distributed engineering organizations Ref: #404-IT Pittsburgh
