Job Description

Job Description

Our founders, Ilija and Brane, owned and operated a senior care business for 18 years. They sold that business to build Alcomy and spent two and a half years building the product before it took off. Since taking a small investment from Startup Ignition Ventures, we have grown 14x in the last three years and are cashflow positive. We plan to 10x again in the next three years.

Alcomy is a documentation software for senior care facilities. The part that matters if you're an SDR: 70% of these facilities still run on paper. Your primary competitor is not another software company. It's paper. We do run into competitors, but many are outdated and hard to use, and we win. It isn't an easy sell, since owners have run on paper for years and change is hard. But the work is fulfilling: the product genuinely helps the people you're selling to, and owners who switch end up loving it and sending their friends our way.

Who you'd sell to:

Mom and pop facility owners drowning in paperwork. When inspections come, they get citations because of missed or incomplete documentation.

Who we want:

Someone who wants to learn in a startup, not for the year-one money, but because they want to become someone. Someone willing to bet on themselves: to take less now for the chance to be early at a company that 10x's, and to look back in three years knowing they were the reason it did.

That means showing up on time and doing the work even on the days it isn't landing. Sales experience helps but isn't required. We care more about resilience, coachability, and integrity than your resume.

What the job actually is:

• 70 to 80 percent of your day is on the phone, a goal of 80 calls a day.

• We track: calls made, owner conversations, demos set, and demo shows.

• The rest of your time is experimentation: AI tools, email, LinkedIn, things nobody here has tried. We're a small team, so good ideas actually get used.

• Occasional trade shows and sales trips.

• You report to Mike, our head of the SDR team. He ran the SDR team at ForeUp for two years, then spent two years as one of their top AEs.

The money, honestly

Base is $36,000 plus uncapped commission. Realistically that commission runs about $4,000 to $6,000 in year one, and it's uncapped, so the ceiling is yours to raise. There's no formal career ladder yet, so here's the deal instead: prove yourself, and the more money you make Alcomy, the more we can pay you. We're a small team and growing fast. The people who join now are the ones who run things later.

If the biggest year-one paycheck is what matters most to you right now, this isn't the job, and we'd rather say so up front. What it pays early is a different currency: you learn faster here than almost anywhere, and you get in early at a company that's growing.

Who should not apply

We're picky, because everyone here works directly with everyone else. This isn't for you if:

• You can't handle the swings. Some months everything doubles, some months nothing closes. Managing your own head through the bad months is the hard part of this job.

• You won't experiment. If you aren't willing to try things nobody here has tried, this isn't the job for you.

Practical details

• Full-time or higher hour Part-time, in person in Provo.

• Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 or 8 to 4.

• Equipment provided: computer, monitor, headset.
