Job Title: Senior Test & Reliability Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Hire Type: 1-Year Contract

Schedule: 100% Onsite | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Target Pay Rate: $75.00/hour (W2)

Must-Have Skills:

10+ years of engineering or test/reliability engineering experience

Hands-on electromechanical product testing experience

Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills

Experience within FDA-regulated or highly regulated environments

Environmental and reliability testing experience

Strong mechanical testing background with some electrical testing exposure


Job Summary:

Seeking a Senior Test & Reliability Engineer to support testing and reliability activities for electromechanical medical devices within an R&D environment. This role will focus heavily on hands-on testing, failure analysis, and development of reliability and environmental test methods throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, deep testing experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a regulated engineering environment.


Job Duties:

Perform environmental, reliability, shock, vibration, and product lifecycle testing

Conduct root cause investigations and failure analysis on tested products

Develop and execute test protocols, test plans, and validation activities

Support design verification and design validation testing activities

Develop and maintain test fixtures and testing methodologies

Evaluate electromechanical medical devices to identify product limitations and improvement opportunities

Participate in engineering design reviews and technical investigations

Support testing activities related to temperature, humidity, altitude, dust ingress, water ingress, and EMC/EMI performance

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and project teams to achieve project goals

Ensure all work complies with quality system and regulatory requirements


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred

Experience in test and reliability engineering strongly preferred

Background supporting medical device or FDA-regulated industries required

Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and product testing methodologies

Experience working with design verification and validation processes

Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

Strong communication and technical documentation skills
