Overview:

You will model and coach the team on how to connect with customers, share the McGee & Co. lifestyle, and provide exceptional service. As the leader of back-of-house operations, you will execute and uphold operational standards that protect the image and interests of the brand. You will partner with the management team to maximize individual performance and establish the routines and disciplines that drive productivity and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist management in planning and executing back-of-house operational functions: store delivery planning, receiving, shipping, ticketing, inventory management, stockroom organization and standards, directing merchandise flow from stock room to sales floor, visual floor set operational support and markdown/markup execution
  • Ensure inventory management and processes are executed in a timely manner
  • Provide operational supervision and leadership to support the store in meeting its financial goals and delivering exceptional, on-brand service. Model, train, and coach individual productivity and performance related to back-of-house operational functions
  • Assist in timely and cost-effective management of repairs and maintenance, and supplies
  • Perform routine audits and reconciliations and support daily disciplines to eliminate loss and shrink (lost cartons, mispicks, damages, returns, and return-to-vendor)
  • Support opening and closing routines, register functions, and manager-on-duty responsibilities as needed. Assist on the sales floor as needed
  • Comply with all Company Policy and Procedures and ensure all appropriate stockroom procedures are followed to minimize loss to the company
  • Maintain an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, in accordance with our people-first philosophy


Qualifications:

  • Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and example
  • Employment/promotion to this role will be contingent on successful completion of a background check
  • 1-3 years of retail operations and back of house experience
  • 1-2 years of home-related or specialty experience preferred



Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor and in the stockroom for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
  • Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays
  • Part-Time associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend** (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday). For an associate to be scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability (beyond the minimum required above) that meets the needs of the business will be required. **Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday).
